Celebrate Skepticism

A day to celebrate our ability to think critically and question what we're told is true.
There are many beliefs that we hold to be true, even though they have mighty holes in them.
For example, there are many holes in religions of the world, but we still hold faith.
And there are many holes in the leadership we elect/select, but we still choose to follow.
Truth be told, we think we're being logical when we approach things, but we're simply rearranging our preexisting biases and calling it our truth.
The unfortunate reality is that what we believe to be true is keeping us powerless.
Fear of anything puts us into survival mode constantly - exactly where the people in power want us to be: afraid.
Skepticism is good in moderation, and today - on International Skeptics Day - go ahead and question some of your beliefs.
Investigating your assumptions can free you from your fears and biases.
So let's celebrate our skepticism today!
